When using a negative or low positive angle (+ 2-3 degrees) saw on profile and thin-walled materials. Higher angle +6 , +8 degrees) and sparse tooth saws should be preferred for solid materials. This prevents the saw from wrapping around the material.

In profile and thin-walled cuts, more frequent toothed and soft tooth angles are preferred. Otherwise, the teeth will wear out or break very quickly. Saws with less teeth and aggressive cutting are preferred in thick-walled pipes, profiles and solid materials. Large cross-section materials should be cut with a coarse pitch saw (less teeth in 1”). Having fewer teeth in the cutting process increases the cutting capacity. Coarse teeth (fewer teeth in 1”) increase productivity and provide sufficient chip volume. Soft materials such as aluminum and bronze require tooth profiles with large chip volume. Large pitch teeth prevent chip shifting, smearing and jamming in the tooth cavity during cutting. In this way, tooth wear is prevented and easy cutting is ensured. Since there will be more sparse outer burrs in the filled material, it will be easier to eject.
